Treasurer Debroah Cotter became the Treasyrer in January of 2009. Cotter began as an Office Manager for the Water Department in March 1999, and transfered to the Treasuer's Office as a Deputy Treasurer in March of 2004. Treasurer Deborah Cotter has been in the accounting/bookeeping field for twenty years. The Treasurer provides financial and analysis reports to the Mayor, City Council, City Departments, and to the public. The Treasurer's office is responsible for the maintaining of accounty records in accordance to state guidleines. The department is also responsible for for preparing and monitoring the City's annual budget and preparing the annual updates to the Mayor and City Council to ensure that funds are expended as appropriated. Other job duties include providing a system a system for processing deposits, payments for City obligations, processing payroll, maintaining records for wages and withholdings, and providing required documents to the auditing agency responsible for the annual audit.
